the founder of many pioneering approaches to surgery, N.I.
Lunin, the founder of the studies on vitamins, N.I. Leporsky

an independent Medical Institute, and as a Honor to its Academic
Excellence and being one of the largest scientific-educational
& medical-diagnostic Centers in Russia, the Ministry of
Education awarded it the Academy Status in 1994, renaming
it as Voronezh State Medical Academy (VSMA).
